Audio mixing console

A device for mixing together and controlling the sound of numerous sources of audio signal. Any console has an input connection bay and a master-section. The input bay, as the name suggests, takes the input signals from microphones and other audio sources. At this stage the preliminary amplification is carried out as well as sound processing (frequency, dynamic and some other kinds) and routing of the signal to further devices. The master-section has the biggest number of controls, the highest-quality components are used in the signal chain, maximum amount of indication is available to the user.

Briefing

A short meeting of the officials, representatives of commercial or other bodies and organizations with the mass-media representatives, where a position on a particular issue is stated.

Buffet

The kind of meal that allows guest to be relaxed and free to move around while enjoying the food. The guests do not stand or sit at the same place, they constantly change their conversation partners and their places at the high cocktail tables. This is how small interest groups may be formed spontaneously, bringing together those interested in discussing certain issues. The buffet menu may include: cold starters and mini-entrees, salads, main courses and garnishes, desserts, drinks. The food can be served on tables standing in a corner, as well as in the middle of the hall, so that each participant could easily approach it. Since every person is on his/her own, this type of meal suggest an informal, easy-going communication. The organizers’ task is to motivate this communication and make it easier for everyone to find a partner and get involved in a conversation. There must be a few “hosts”, the people circling around the hall who actively support conversations, help others to get acquainted and be introduced to each other.

Business event

The basis of all business events is a communication with the existing and potential business partners and colleagues. Business events are used by companies to achieve their strategic or tactical professional goals. Any business event implies an intensive informational exchange or the efficient transmission of information. Therefore, the adequate conditions for perceiving spoken messages must be set as well as a complete set of written materials. Impeccable business events are also one of the tools in the creation of a favorable image of the company. The main difficulty is that in the preparation of a business event a vast number of details and issues must be dealt with, while working with a large amount of information. The following conditions are necessary for organizing a successful business event: Tested and reliable workflow pattern; Swift and efficient coordination of the event leaders’ activities; Having a database of resources which may be needed for the event; Reservation for a conference-hall on a planned date. The main types of business events are: Presentations, press-conferences, conferences, trainings, seminars, forums, briefings, round table meetings, expositions, conventions etc.

A typical CP includes a certain number of services among which are: rental of the conference-halls, rental of the necessary equipment (flipcharts, projectors, microphones etc), stationery (pens, paper), catering service for the participants (coffee-breaks, business-lunches) and so on. A conference-package helps calculate the estimated budget of the event and resolve a big share of organizational issues facing the clients. The cost of a conference-package depends on the number of included services, particular conference-hall, provided equipment and type of catering. The cost can also vary depending on the day of the week (a week-end CP) and on the time of the day (for evening events).

Convention

Working in the internet;
Entertainment (music, films, DVD).
Today, due to a great selection of laptop computers offering advanced functionality, high performance, ergonomic design, powerful processors and long-lasting battery time, this type of computer has become an efficient instrument for giving presentations. To display a presentation on a big screen a multimedia projector is used in conjunction with the laptop computer. Photos, charts and diagrams, copies of documents, short texts, even sound and video – all this can be used in your presentation. A presentation also serves as a good outline: you will not forget the important bits and not lose the logic of your discourse, the key to convincing the audience. Thanks to the laptop computer capabilities, the speaker will be able to dynamically change his/her presentation “on-the-fly”.

The projector and the screen together are called a projection system. Such systems can be portable and stationary. Stationary projection systems are usually used for large halls.

Back to index
Overhead projector

Designed to project images made by marker-pens onto a transparent plastic film. The images can be prepared beforehand or done directly in the course of the presentation, allowing to make the speech more dynamic. The image is placed on the top working area of the overhead projector, lighted from underneath by a special source of light and then projected through Fresnel lens to the screen. Depending of the optical scheme of light beam routing the overhead projectors are divided into two types: pass-through and reflected-light (mirrored image). In choosing an overhead projector one needs to pay attention to the main parameters: overhead projectors can be portable and stationary, they vary in power and type of the used lamp which provides the light stream. The size of the projected image can be changed by adjusting the distance between the projector and the screen. An overhead projector is convenient first of all due to simplicity and low cost of presentation materials: they can simply by printed out by a printer or drawn on the film during the presentation. Besides, the bright enough image produced by overhead projectors allows to conduct a presentation without the need to dim the lighting in the room.

The systems can be constructed of a large number of devices. We offer two types of PA systems considering the requirements of the client and the format of the event: Block PA system (2 speakers, mixing desk, noise and feedback reduction system)
Component PA system (2 speakers, amplifier)

PC audio speakers

A system for playing back audio from a computer. PC speakers are connected to an audio interface (usually a built-in digital audio output). The main parameters of PC speakers – power (loudness capacity) and audio playback quality. Speakers can be active or passive. Active speakers are equipped with an internal amplifier, as opposed to passive speakers.

Plasma panels

A plasma panel is a flat display with a matrix structured screen, able to display video from computer and other sources. Characteristic features of plasma panels are a large screen size (compared to conventional TVs), no flickering, high contrast, perfectly flat surface and wide viewing angle (up to 160 degrees). The surface of a plasma panel is comprised of pixels, each having three cells responsible for the three main colors (their luminescence forming the visible image). Most plasma panels are multi-system – supporting different TV formats (Pal/Secam/ NTSC) and also computer video signal of different resolutions. The quality of plasma panels depends on the brightness and contrast of the screen, resolution capabilities. The cost of panels depends mostly on the screen size and resolution. It’s hard to imagine modern presentations, seminars, conferences held without large screens making it possible to see any image from any point of the hall. The clear, bright picture, large viewing angle are the main advantages of plasma panels over other types of video displaying devices. Unlike projected images, the picture displayed by plasma panels does not depend on the level of light in the room – it is always bright and contrast. Plasma display can receive signal from any source – VCR, computer, video camera, DVD-player. Since the displays are produced in a variety of sizes, it is easy to incorporate them into practically any type of interior – that of a conference-center, small room or an exposition display stand.
